The BCH’s Department of Education’s Teaching Certificate Program offers healthcare professionals a pathway to greater knowledge of educational principles and clinical teaching practices. The program includes the opportunity for healthcare professionals to refine their teaching skills through individualized coaching and feedback. Certificate members join a community of like-minded individuals who strive for educational excellence. Members are awarded a certificate as recognition of program completion and professional achievement. 

Our target population includes clinical staff who precept, supervise, and teach trainees or other clinical staff at Boston Children’s, yet may have minimal intensive training in clinical education.  This may include, but is not limited to, new clinical educators. 

NOTE: Experienced clinician educators or those with a strong direction towards a future career in clinical education should consider one of the more intensive medical education fellowships and clinician educator training programs.
