Prerequisites
- Completion of an undergraduate bachelor’s degree prior to applying is required. A science-based degree is preferred.
- The GRE is not required.
- We cannot accept applications from individuals who are not U.S. citizens, unless the applicant has a Green Card.
- We encourage applicants shadow an orthoptist prior to applying.

- An interview is required. This can be done in person or virtually.

Tuition and expenses
- Tuition is $5,000 per year. (This is subject to change. Please confirm with program director as needed.)
- The student is financially responsible for all living expenses including health insurance during training.
- Students in orthoptic programs do not usually qualify for student loans. Some partial scholarships are available through independent organizations; see the resources page.
