Fellowship in Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology

The Boston Children’s Hospital Fellowship in Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology is a two-year program with an academic teaching appointment at Harvard Medical School. The goal of the fellowship is to train future leaders in the field of pediatric and adolescent gynecology, combining clinical excellence, surgical confidence, unique research and a passion for teaching.

Fellows will gain a broad knowledge base across both pediatric and gynecologic specialties, including office-based examination and management of a wide variety of developmental, endocrinologic and other disorders, as well as develop surgical skills in females from infancy through adolescence, with special interest in minimally invasive and reconstructive surgery. Fellows will have the opportunity to do independent novel clinical or basic science research, and participate in local, national, and international conferences and presentations.

Rotations will be individualized and will occur at Boston Children’s, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Experiences will include the opportunity to participate in gynecologic, endocrine, and multidisciplinary clinics such as complex colorectal/urogenital anomalies, gender identity/DSD, onco-fertility and fertility preservation, family planning, teenage obstetric care and sexual abuse. In addition, fellows will have their own continuity clinic for pediatric and adolescent gynecologic care.

On call duties will be at a frequency of no more than 1:2 call from home. There is a part time OB/GYN resident covering the service from the Brigham and Women’s/Mass General OB/GYN Residency Program, with resident first call on nights and weekends.
