Learning Objectives: 

At the conclusion of this educational program, learners will be able to:

  1. Develop an approach to taking a cardiac history and performing a cardiovascular focused physical exam
  2. Develop a systematic approach to interpreting chest radiographs and electrocardiograms in children with congenital heart disease
  3. Explain the common presentations of specific congenital heart lesions that present at varying ages in children
  4. Describe the pathophysiology of congestive heart failure
  5. Develop management strategies for treating patients with congestive heart failure
  6. Identify how to diagnose a child with rheumatic heart disease and list related treatment options
