At the conclusion of this educational program, learners will be able to:
- Identify risk factors that predispose to ARF.
- Describe signs and symptoms associated with ARF.
- Become familiar with diagnostic criteria, medical evaluation and treatment of ARF.
- Identify key aspects of long-term management and prophylaxis for recurrent ARF.
- Identify major complications and longterm management of patients with RHD.
- Describe the pathophysiology leading to development of RHD.
