NDD Transition: Financing the Solution
This group deals with the known finance, insurance, and reimbursement issues identified as barriers faced by both providers and patients in the process of healthcare transition for patients with NDD. They are tasked with evaluation of current practices and models, and also proposing strategies for incentivizing providers and adult healthcare systems to take on patients with NDD. They are working toward optimizing billing strategies and creating coding recommendations, as well as potentially innovating unique funding models that could better serve this population.
