This course is designed to help perform these investigations correctly by developing a fundamental understanding of lower urinary tract anatomy and function. It aims to teach the best methods for investigating abnormal conditions, ensuring accurate interpretation of findings, and increasing awareness of potential therapeutic options.

Overview

Urodynamics (UDS) is a vital tool for understanding lower urinary tract disorders that affect continence and can lead to urinary tract infections. It is the gold standard for assessing bladder and sphincter function in adults and children, offering insights into the causes of urinary tract issues and guiding management strategies.

Course Format

In-person attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to participate in hands-on, interactive learning experiences, including live demonstrations and simulations. Join us for a networking dinner on the first night, as well as additional opportunities to connect and collaborate. The event will be held at The Inn at Longwood Medical, located at 342 Longwood Avenue, Boston, MA 02115.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this educational program, learners will be able to:

Understand the various urodynamic studies and what clinical information they provide, so as to facilitate ordering the appropriate
Understand how to perform the each urodynamic study, including identification of artifact and performing a complete study
Understand how to appropriately interpret the findings from the particular study(ies) performed
Understand how urodynamic study results can guide appropriate treatment
