Description

Learn how to move beyond ACES by using the HOPE Framework to build Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs). This training explores the Four Building Blocks of HOPE and how to apply them to programming, policy, and family supports to promote resilience and healthy development.

Learning Objectives: 

At the conclusion of this educational program, learners will be able to:

1. 1. Develop skills to build trusting and supportive relationships with children and families.
   2. Recognize the importance of positive interactions and consistent caregiving.
   3. Foster a sense of belonging and connection within the child’s social network.
   4. Create safe and stable environments for children to live, learn, and play in.
   5. Ensure access to basic needs and necessary support systems.
   6. Identify and address potential environmental stressors that may impact child development.
   7. Provide opportunities for children to participate in social and civic activities.
   8. Encourage a sense of community and belonging through meaningful engagement.
   9. Develop skills for active citizenship and positive social interactions.
   10. Support children in developing healthy coping mechanisms for managing emotions.
   11. Foster self-awareness and emotional regulation skills.
   12. Create a safe space for children to express their emotions and receive support.

Online Course Cancellation, Transfer & Refund Policy
Due to the propriety materials and content of each course, online virtual courses orders are NOT eligible for refund, cancellation or transfer.

Other Terms and Conditions:
Online training courses may NOT be transferred to another Participant. Participants have 6 weeks to access any virtual online course content. Participants have until the expiration date to access and complete any enduring material courses. Boston Children’s Hospital CE is not responsible for user technical difficulties including loss of internet, power outages, etc. 

Cancellation of Services
Although highly unlikely, in case an event is canceled or postponed, Boson Children’s can provide a full refund or offer a credit towards future events to those who have already registered.

Refunds will be made in the following ways: For payments received by credit or debit cards, the same credit/debit card will be refunded.

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Boston Children’s Hospital is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

 

 

Physician

Boston Children’s Hospital designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity.

Nurse

Boston Children’s Hospital designates this activity for 7.00 contact hours for nurses. Nurses should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

Social Work

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Boston Children’s Hospital is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Boston Children’s Hospital maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive 7.00 ACE CE continuing education credits.
