Welcome to (Virtual) Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology 2020!
Due to Covid-19 has this year’s Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology conference is moving entirely online. The conference will run Oct. 7-9. Unless hospital policies change, we will run the zoom conference from a room on campus. Speakers will be asked to come to the designated room during their assigned time to deliver presentations, including Q&A.
Speaker Agreement
Please read the guidelines for online continuing education, which includes a description of the conditions under which you may use copyrighted images in your presentation. We ask that you sign a speaker agreement, by which you attest to reading and agreeing to the guidelines. Note that we have received blanket permission from the publisher to use images from the textbook “Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology.” This permission extends to anyone who is including images from the book in their presentation.
As you develop your slides, we recommend that you avoid the use copyrighted images, video, or audio that are not necessary for conveying or explaining presentation content. Omit images that are purely decorative, unless you have rights or permission, creative commons or other license, or they are in the public domain.
Please be sure to provide source information for all images, video, or audio, and de-idetify patient photos if you do not have written consent from a parent or guardian.
We will be scheduling orientation sessions with the CME department to review the guidelines, categories of images that are not subject to copyright, and resources for obtaining or creating permissible images. The CME department is available to review slides and help find alternatives for copyrighted images. This review and revision process necessitates that we receive slides much earlier than a typical conference. We ask that you submit your slides as early as possible, and no later than the week of August 24th. If you have any specific questions or concerns about your presentations, contact Dan Schwartz.
It is important to participate in a run-through of a live Zoom conference. This will ensure that hosts, co-hosts, panelists, presenters are all familiar with the Zoom features to be used and the specific choreography of the event. The rehearsal date is to be determined, but will likely be the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 2
