LIVE IN-PERSON: Empowering Pediatric Providers: New York Pediatric Advances presented by BCH, BCHP, and Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital (September 11, 2025)

Overview

This course is designed to meet the healthcare clinical provider’s desire for enhanced knowledge and improved competence in caring for patients with common pediatric problems combined with updates on cutting edge technology.

Course Format 

This year’s conference will be held in-person at Edith Macy Conference Center, Briarcliff Manor, NY.

Join us for a rejuvenating wellness yoga session from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., followed by a dinner and networking hour from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Our speaker presentations will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.

Yoga Session

Stretch. Breathe. Recenter.

Take a mindful break with a gentle yoga and breathing session designed specifically for doctors and healthcare professionals.

This 45-minute session will include:

1. Mild yoga stretches initially to ease muscle tension
2. A slow-paced Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar) sequence to awaken energy and improve circulation
3. Pranayama (breathing) practice to calm the mind and restore focus
4. Kapalabhati (cleansing breath) for respiratory conditioning, mental clarity and quieter breathing

Whether you’re a beginner or have prior experience, this session is accessible and adaptable to all levels. It’s an opportunity to pause, release, and recharge—physically and mentally.

Come in comfortable clothing.

The first 50 registrants will be provided a yoga mat to keep!

The session will be led by Dr. Sankaran Krishnan, Chief, Pediatric Pulmonology, Allergy, Immunology and Sleep Medicine, Boston Children’s Health Physicians, who is a yoga proponent and past instructor.

Learning Objectives: 

At the conclusion of this educational program, learners will be able to:

1. Evaluate recent updates in basic science and clinical advances in pediatrics
2. Determine the bench-to-bedside applications of recent scientific advances to the clinical care of children
3. Assess the evolving insights within patient safety and patient experience
