The Boston Children’s Hospital’s Academy for Teaching and Educational Innovation and Scholarship empowers healthcare professionals to excel as educators, advance innovative scholarship, and engage in a community committed to advancing best practices in health professions education at Boston Children’s and beyond.

Boston Children’s Hospital’s Academy for Teaching and Educational Innovation and Scholarship:

  • Promotes excellence and innovation in teaching, curriculum development, and educational research
  • Advances inclusion and accessibility, ensuring all learners feel welcomed and supported
  • Shares best teaching practices through interactive educational programs and peer coaching 
  • Cultivates junior educators development as teachers, scholars, and emerging leaders
  • Champions interprofessional and multidisciplinary education, strengthening collaboration across professions and clinical disciplines
  • Develops and disseminates educational materials for national and international audiences
  • Fosters recognition of Boston Children’s health professions educators as leaders locally, nationally, and internationally 

Our Academy is a member organization of the Academies Collaborative, a national forum for health professions teaching academies and similar organizations aiming to drive institutional commitment to educators and excellence in teaching in the health professions.
